Item 2.02    Results of Operations and Financial Condition.

On January 13, 2020, Ardelyx, Inc. (the “Company”) announced that as of December 31, 2019, the Company had approximately $247.5 million in cash, cash equivalents and short-term investments, and that the Company currently expects that its cash, cash equivalents and short-term investments are sufficient to fund the Company’s operations until early 2022 based on its current operating plans.
